FAQ

Can I use your images for avatars, RPing, practice, etc?

Email me first, please. I don’t mind as long as I know about it, and you don’t claim it as your own.

Can I draw one of your characters?

As long as you don’t claim it as your own, and of course, please credit me.

Will you allow guest art of your characters?
Sure, I'll even post it up here for you in a shiny special guest art section. Once I get guest art. Eh.

Will you do art trades/requests?
Depends if I have time. I usually only do requests for the closest of close-close friends, and I don’t mind trades as long as I have time. Just ask.

Why do you draw Batman so much?
Cuz it’s BATMAN!

What’s your beef about Marvel, anyway? All I see is DC characters here.
…Well, in lieu of me wanting to get an actual job in the industry, I really shouldn’t have such a big preference but I don’t have anything majorly against Marvel, Spidey is one of my oldest, favorite characters even before I started this DC kick. I just adore several…okay, many DC characters more. When I want to read comics about superheroes, I don’t care much about their lives being realistic like poor Petey’s, you get enough of that in real life. I want to see them being SOOPER and having SOOPER adventures. No secret Spider-Bill-Paying-Grocery-Shopping powers here.

Pixar?
Yes, please.

2-D or 3-D animation?
I love traditional animation more, I sadly admit, even though my, erm, degree consists of Computer animation. I have lots of fun on Maya but I still adore the old fashioned traditional style more. Bluth’s work especially.

Digital drawing or traditional means?

Both. I’ve fallen in love with Photoshop and the tablet, but I still use pencil sketches to start and all that. Also I still use traditional means in my figure drawing class—charcoal, conte, etc.

You grew up in Japan? What’s the deal with showing off about that?
Ahem. It was an awesome place to grow up in and I still miss it terribly, I grew up in the southern isle of Kyushu, in a little town called Sasebo about 40 or so minutes from Nagasaki. Military family and all that. Sadly enough, I lived there for 7 years and can’t speak the language fluently…XD Didn’t need to mostly because of everyone else being able to speak English. So I have fond memories of being a likkle kid there, running around with a butterfly net and eating some melon-flavored ice cream bought off of a Yamazaki or Lawson convenience store in the summer, drinking Ramune and trying to figure out the best way to get the marble out, opening a box of Dragon Ball shaped candy (that’s the era of anime I lived in ah did)…The food was…mmm, just indescribably good. Seriously, you will be my bestest best friend forever if you give me Japanese candy.

Pets?
Wish I had a dog. WISHING SO BADLY. If you love me, you’ll get me a dog.
But we have fish, a bunch of odd goldfish and a giant Koi, two murderous Comets, with a psycho suckerfish. These things have such personality, it’s kind of creepy. The Koi’s like the Hulk (see, Marvel!) in the tank, he actually moves around the heavy decorations when he’s rooting the rocks up for food. Most of them have been alive for more than a year now, so that’s a miracle in itself. The comets killed this huuuge Shubumkin that we bought—they beat it to death. The suckerfish eats the goldfish food even though his body can’t digest it and is active most of the day, unlike most of that species. They will eat food from your hand. Our fish…are odd. Enough about the fish.

Places you want to visit?
LONDON. Like right now. Also I’m up for one of those endless American road trips to see the entire country.

Fave Batman Characters: Batman (duh). The answer to what you’re all wondering about: what is wrong with my obsess…I mean why do I like Batman so much?
Just cuz.
In a (comic book, anyway) world, you’ve got superpowered heroes and superpowered villains, and this ordinary human can take them all on, have the upper hand, and intimidate them all at the same time. Supes is awesome but you don’t get the same geeked-out response from us fangirls and boys when he simply punches out some baddie, compared to Batman’s detective work and stealthy ninja attack against some dangerous villain. Come on. Ninja attack here. Need I say more? He’s also turned something very tragic into a positive force. So what if he’s got bottomless resources? That’s what makes it more fun. Poor Petey Parker has problems with money and paying his bills and rent, etc. Meh, we all get enough of that in real life. Despite it all, Bruce is still a normal person, and still a selfless hero.
I actually like both Bruce Wayne and Batman as separate characters, because they are separate people. And dummy!clumsy!ditzy!Bruce is just too adorable. Even more adorable when he does something stupid and everyone laughs and he could just take everyone down with one move if he ‘transformed’ into Batman. And Batman is just hardcore coolness.

Nightwing: I also like Dick Grayson because he has the moody, dark Bat-part of him but he’s still that outgoing, cocky, brash circus kid as well. Love his hair.

Babsy: I still like Cass and everything, but Babs is just THE Batgirl.

Fave Bat-villains: Harley Quinn—she’s just too hilarious, and her voice (Arleen Sorkin) is just so memorable. She’ll never leave her Mistah Jay, nope. Luff Harley.

Riddler: Mostly because of his costume. His question-mark staff rocks. He has the best costume of the villains. Joker? Purple suit? Please. Ivy? Freaky…plant…bathing suit…thing? Meh.

Favorite Ships/Parings: Bruce/Christine. Yes, Christine from Phantom of the Opera. There is a very long and arguable list of why she is the perfect gal for Bruce and vice versa, the idea came from an awesome RP (that was obviously AU--alternate universe) and I’ll probably do some fanart in the future too. The list will eventually appear as well. I *heart* Bruce/Christine. Also Bruce/Selina Not so much into the whole Bruce/Diana thing, I just don’t really see her with him. I actually see her more with Superman, probably from reading Kingdom Come too much. Ah yes, and the eternal Joker/Harley.

Newsies—Yeah, it’s old but I just bought the movie and the songs have just consumed my brains.
Fave characters: Jack Kelly, of course. Bale. What can I say, he has awesome characters? *cough hack* Yes, characters. I love the character of Jack even if it wasn’t Bale *cough*, the song Santa Fe is just so heartfelt and surprisingly dreamy, showing the real side of a supposedly tough, hardened street kid. And Bale’s accent? Wow. I’m gonna be tawkin’ like dis now, it’s fun.
Kid Blink: No reason, except he’s got an eyepatch and he’s loud.
Race: Meh, he’s pretty funny, and I love his accent.
Specs: Cuz he’s got glasses and that cool hat.

Monty Python—What’s so funny about them? Well, a lot of things. I love British humor and Python is one of the best examples of such. Nu.
